This photograph shows two conveyors
built into one frame. Bakery trays travel down the first
conveyor until they come to a pneumatic stop.
The rollers on top of the chain then
allow the trays to remain stationary whilst the chain keeps
running, this reduces wear on the chain/ trays and strain
on the drive unit.
When ready the
pneumatic stop drops allowing the first tray to move onto
the second conveyor, which runs faster then the first, and
pulls the tray away allowing the pneumatic stop to raise
again.
